Drylining means building and lining walls and ceilings with plasterboard instead of wet plaster. The boards go on a metal or timber frame or straight onto the wall with adhesive (dot and dab), then the joints are taped and filled. It's quicker and cleaner than plastering, and the walls are ready for paint.
Do you work from plans?
Yes. Send your drawings, a sketch or a few photos with rough measurements, and we'll price the job from them. For main contractors and fit-out firms we work to your drawings and specification.
Metal or timber studs: which is better?
Metal studs are light, straight and quick, and they're the usual choice for offices and new builds. Timber suits some home jobs, or walls that need heavy fixings. We'll say which suits your job when we quote.
Is it ready to paint when you finish?
Yes. We tape and fill the joints and sand them smooth, so your decorator can start straight away. If you'd rather have the walls and ceilings skimmed, we do that too.
Do you take the waste away?
We can, at a fair extra cost. We also do small strip-outs of interior walls and ceilings before boarding.
Is the work guaranteed?
Yes, our workmanship is guaranteed for 24 months on the whole job.
Where do you work?
We're based in Leeds and work across West Yorkshire and up to about 50 miles around, Monday to Saturday. Urgent jobs by arrangement.
